Committees

The Chamber maintains a number of standing committees and "as-needed" task forces to assist the board of directors to govern more efficiently. Committees will be used to investigate, deliberate and analyze special issues on behalf of the board.

Executive Committee
The executive committee consists of the Chairman, Past Chairman, Chair-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. The Executive Committee reviews the initiatives of the Chamber. The Executive Committee also oversees personnel issues of the organization including review of compensation and benefits. The Executive Committee reviews the chamber financials on an ongoing basis and reviews the organizations annual audit.

Nominating
The nominating committee selects one candidate for each office and one candidate for each place to be filled on the Board of Directors. This committee provides guidance for professional board development.  Also, this committee reviews and recommends bylaw amendments to the Board of Directors.

Fundraising and Sustainability Committee
The fundraising and sustainability committee is responsible for reviewing the Chamber's fundraising programs and identifying new opportunities. This committee plans and organizes the Chamber's Golf Tournament held annually in the fall, one of the largest recreational networking events of the year.

Health Insurance Committee
This committee monitors the Chamber's health, dental and vision insurance programs. The committee aligns member insurance needs with the appropriate insurance policies and plan designs. To committee seeks to offer the highest value product available to members and their employees.

Membership
This committee researches and evaluates member benefits to ensure the highest value to members.  This committee also works with staff to on membership recruitment and retention.

Public Policy
This committee monitors local, state and federal issues that impact the business community.  This committee develops and takes positions on key issues that affect the businesses in Chautauqua County.

Public Relations/Marketing Committee
This committee makes recommendations on the development of the Chamber's marketing strategy. This committee analyzes advertising tools and opportunities available to chamber members through the Chamber and the Chamber's strategic partners.
