Public Policy & Advocacy

The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce is pro-active in addressing issues at the local, state and federal level that impact businesses. The goal is to create a climate for growth and business success in Chautauqua County.

The Chamber of Commerce works directly with political and governmental leaders and through relationships with regional, statewide and national advocacy groups to communicate the issues that are important to Chautauqua county businesses. The Chamber of Commerce, in concert with the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier, has a Public Policy Committee that monitors local, state and federal governmental bodies and legislation that could have either a positive or negative impact on the business community in Chautauqua County. The committee maintains a continuing dialogue with elected and appointed officials at all levels of government.
