Shoptauqua Cash Dash

The Chautauqua County and Community Chambers of Commerce are determined to help see our small businesses meet the tough weeks and months ahead. By coming together, we can help sustain our small businesses during this time of economic challenge.

The Shoptauqua Cash Dash is designed to directly drive sales to small businesses by encouraging consumers to buy your products or services. 

Here is how it works:

• The Chamber is creating a calendar of businesses that would like to participate in the Shoptauqua Cash Dash.
• Each calendar will be specific to your community. For example, if your business is in Fredonia area, cash dash participating businesses will be businesses based in Fredonia. The same will apply to Jamestown, Westfield, Hanover, etc. 
• Once developed, the calendar will be shared with your fellow businesses and the public through traditional media and social media to encourage the community to support your business on the day and time you are interested in participating.

Here is how businesses can participate:

1. Fill in our online survey here so we know you want to participate. 
2. Consider special incentives you may want to provide on the day of your Cash Dash.
3. Be sure to indicate to us if you have curbside pickup, delivery and/or gift cards/certificates for purchase.
4. As we gather information we will populate the calendar.
5. Once the calendar is complete we will be in contact with you and share the calendar so that you know when to expect a dash to your business.

Here's how consumers can help:

1. Consumers are encouraged to spend about $20 at each business being DASHED – creating a direct economic stimulus. We strongly encourage all consumers to uphold social distancing protocols, and all businesses participating must adhere to state regulations. 
2. Once you've made a purchase from a Shoptauqua Cash Dash participating business, post a photo to your social media with #chqcashdash, and we will do monthly prize drawings for those participants.
